So what is a LOW CARB lifestyle?

A low carb lifestyle is a long term way of eating in which the amount of carbohydrates eaten is reduced to a set number daily. There are multiple versions because as we know, no two bodies work exactly the same.

On this site we will explore the basic diet, the science behind it, and several types of low carb eating including regular low carb, Ketogenic, and Paleo. I personally believe that all types are good and which one you choose should be based on your own bodies needs.

For most type 2 diabetics the only way to get off and stay off medications is a low carb lifestyle.

What Low Carb is NOT.  Low carb is not a diet of meats and fats only. It is a diet of whole foods, where processed foods are eliminated. It is a diet of meats, fats, and low starch vegetables. It is a returning to the original human diet before companies began to process foods and agricultural products became so prevalent.

In the website links you will find articles about food modification and why our grains and vegetables no longer what they once were. 200 years ago foods had not been modified to the extent they are and GMO's and Pesticides did not yet exist. Supplements are now an important part of our diet to insure you get all the nutrients your body needs.
